With offices in Stockholm, Uppsala, London, Malta, Bucharest, Philadelphia and Sydney together with 900 passionate and highly skilled people, we live and breathe sports betting.
Our team in Uppsala own an application which is a key regulatory component for Kambi's clients who need to operate in the US market.
Our aim is to be able to provide a service for operators to launch in any US State. We ensure that enough data is stored on every wager made and that reports can provided on key aspects such as profit and outstanding debt. The application does this by listening for messages and storing the data albeit in a dressed down version.
The challenges we face are around the complexity of reports and the time required to run them especially as we often need to provide them via a UI. As Kambi expands into new regions we will need to also understand new reporting requirements and adapt.
The Team:-
We are an established team; all members have been here for at least 2 years.
5 developers, 2 testers and a product owner are working together daily to provide future proofed solutions.
We believe in passion for quality, taking ownership, being inventive and having a mindset that is open to giving and receiving feedback to improve as individuals.
We like our developers to feel comfortable with the concept of pull requests for peer review.
What skills we look for:-
• 4+ years consistent experience in a high performing Java development team. Java 11 is preferred, although Java 8 and above is ok for us.
• PostgreSQL or Performance tuning SQL within relational databases
• Spring
• Kafka
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Mockito and JUnit
Node or Angular experience will help you while settling into the new role, although we are not necessarily looking for detailed full stack experience.
