As a Java Developer you will be part of the Farm Automation (FA) team. The FA team is developing and maintaining our embedded applications running in our System Controller and related mobile applications. We are in the center of a complex system, enabling dairy farm applications from neighboring SW teams, such as milking systems, automatic milking robots, feeding systems, digital services in the cloud and a lot more. We are a collaborative team working according to Scrum and releasing in a regular cadence.
Being in the center of the system you will be collaborating with many different stakeholders including the FA team, product owners, architects, and members of the neighboring teams.
The position is based in Tumba, Sweden but we offer a hybrid workplace. You will be reporting to the Software Manager.
Key Responsibilities
You will take ownership of components, the architecture, interfaces, and a detailed backlog.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you need to have several years of experience in Java Development.

Experience of developing a new system vs maintaining and developing an existing system
We believe that you have a technical education and Java development experience.
As a person we believe that you are a team player who is not afraid of taking initiatives and reaching out to other parts of the organization to find the best solution. This requires solution thinking, communication, and coordination skills. You should be curious and eager to learn, not just your team's applications, but also the surrounding systems as well as the dairy farm domain in general.
In addition to above requirements, we believe that you have experience from a global or international company, you have a work permit in EU, and you are fluent in English with a desire to learn Swedish.

A university degree, B.Sc., or M.Sc. or equivalent

You are an experienced SW developer that would like to expand your knowledge. We believe you have knowledge in some of the below areas, but you should be excited to learn about the others!
Java, from OS to GUI
Spring, SQL, DB design
Dependency injection and other design patterns
Server application on a Linux distribution
System support on a distributed multi-node system
Mobile applications
System / Java architecture
Review of Python and test automation together with testers
Agile development including CI/CD
