What will you do?
We are looking for a software developer to our Response404 team, which currently consists of 9 fun and curious engineers with a diverse background.
The team's mission is to offer vehicle energy related data to third parties, enabling a wider range of collaborations for our electric and electrified cars by tapping into synergies with the open-source software community.
On our journey from concept to production, we have just recently published the first version of the Energy API in Volvo Cars Developer portal (
https://developer.volvocars.com/apis/energy/overview). In addition to the REST API there are plans of a public Android SDK, enabling direct access to energy data for in-car apps.
The team is also responsible for the Range Assist app available in the center-stack display.
To manage the planned work ahead we need to strengthen the team with one person.
Your role and initial tasks will be based upon the competence and experience you bring into the team, but independently of your tasks you will need to collaborate with many different teams and individuals, both internal and external to the department.
Do you fit the profile?
We seek someone who is motivated, curious and has the courage to challenge the status-quo. You have good communication skills, both orally and in writing. You are an open-minded team player who appreciate to work with different cultures. Besides being customer focused, you have a strong analytical capability, are structured, and organized in daily work.
You bring experience mainly from Java and cloud development, have a holistic view and great systems thinking. Other programming skills (especially C++) and good vehicle knowledge is considered an asset.
You have more than 3 years of work experience in the relevant field and at least a bachelor's degree in engineering/computer science.
We assume that you communicate fluently in English (speech and writing) and have a driving license (level B).
