Presentation
Axiell Library Group is looking for an experienced Java developer with the potential of taking an architect / lead developer role in Axiell Arena.
Axiell Arena is a state-of-the-art library web portal and content collaboration platform, where web services at central and local levels collaborate to deliver information and functionality to library websites.
Examples of central services are tags, ratings and reviews, where contributions from an individual Axiell
Arena installation instantly becomes available to all other libraries that use Axiell Arena. Local services mainly include library related features such as search and catalogue, and services to build and manage the library website.
The product is to a large extent based on open source frameworks and tools, and we are using an Agile development process based on the Scrum methodology.

• beeing a key player in the analysis, design and implementation of functional and technical product features
• to communicate and cooperate both within the development department and with other parts of the organisation
• to actively participate in managing and improving the development platform and processes
• keeping yourself updated on the latest technologies and tools.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
You have a degree or diploma in computer science or similar, and have at least five years experience of designing and implementing Java-based enterprise applications.
We are looking for a person who:
• has a human touch and has a good sense of what cooperation means
• is structured in working methods and analytical in thinking
• likes to combine technical know-how with business solutions
• has a strong drive
• has good communication skills in English.
Experience of working with any of Wicket, Hibernate, REST, CXF, Spring, Maven, or Liferay in an Agile development environment would be an advantage.
The location for the position is Lund, Sweden.
