As a Backend Engineer for the Subscription Manager, you will be instrumental in Volvo Cars' transformation to work closer to the customer than ever. The Subscription Manager will be a key service in enabling direct sales and driving innovation in our future subscription models.
What you will do
In this role you will drive innovation in the subscription experience by developing backend services.
We are a diverse team of front-end and back-end engineers working with Java, Spring Boot, NextJS, Typescript as well as data pipelines exposing our data in Snowflake. You will work with GraphQL, REST apis, event driven architectures with Kafka and more.
We are working towards launching Subscription Manager globally and we need you to contribute and support the team. You will together with the team solve complex problems to accelerate business.
What you will bring
We are looking for a backend engineer with experience of working with backend micro services on Kubernetes, and it is meritorious if you have worked with systems enabling subscriptions in the past. You love to develop, be a part of an engineering team, and have previous experience doing so; you are a backend engineer today looking for new learnings!
You are knowledgeable and passionate about modern software development that builds products our customers love. You are passionate about digital technologies and willing to work hands-on to try modern technologies.
You can work as a team and want to move at a fast pace. You know when to agree to disagree and commit as well as contributing actively on a theoretical level.
Finally, you are someone that fully embraces a growth mindset, and you are open to learn and teach others new exciting learnings. You are someone who likes to have fun at work and makes sure everyone always feels welcome and included!
