We are looking for a Senior Buyer to men's and women's ski and golf. You will be a key member of our buying team and work closely with Design & Pattern maker, as well as with our selected suppliers. At JL you will have the opportunity to learn and grow with some of the most talented, passionate and fun people in the industry. Your key areas will be:
• Fabric sourcing
• Sourcing new suppliers
• Evaluate and allocate garments to suppliers based on company strategy, price, MOQ, lead time and quality/technical level.
• Product development
• Production planning and capacity booking.
• Greige calculations and booking.
• Color assortments fabric bookings and allocation.
• Responsible for keeping margins according to company standard
• Educating and upgrading suppliers of the J.Lindebergs standards in garment quality and ways of working.
• Optimizing styles and make sure all products keep premium quality level
• Supplier communication and negotiations
• cancellations & buy-ups
• Order negotiation regarding accepting orders, MOQ, prices, deliveries, payment terms and surcharges
• Building new and maintaining supplier relationships and network including business travels
• Guidance and planning for Junior Buyer/Production Coordinator.
• Set the planning and range with design controller team and management
• recruitment of team
To succeed in this role you have a few years' experience as a Senior Buyer within the textile industry, preferably within woven ski or technical sport garments. There is a big plus if you have a genuine interest in skiing/snowboarding and/or golf, but it is not a must. We wish you to be product driven with an interest in the product cycle from development to sold in shop. You also enjoy being organized and attentive to details.
