The Engine System Software group is responsible for comprehensive software in engine management systems. We perform a wide range of cross-functional work within Scania, as well as with other OEMs in the group. We are responsible for many of the tools and processes used in the development of the engine management system.
The OEM group is seeking an additional Iterations Manager with Configuration Manager Responsibilities (CM) who will work in close collaboration with the current Iterations Manager. These two roles are merged to provide an opportunity to optimize the focus of your work according to knowledge and interests.
Your responsibilities
Work tasks are varied and challenging.
As Iterations Manager, you are at the heart of a team of project managers, the testing organization and the software development teams. In collaboration with other members of the organization, you will determine the design and timing for new software releases. You will define and improve development processes in close collaboration with the development groups and ensure that these processes are followed. You will also share in the responsibility of chairing our Change Control Board.
The second role as CM involves ownership of revision control and document automation, as well as responsibilities within a Continuous Integration environment. The position also entails development and comprehensive testing of the software.
Your profile
You are likely a Civil Engineer who enjoys planning and coordination. You are accustomed to juggling responsibilities and have excellent communication skills. We prefer an applicant with a good understanding and interest in programming.
