ELOG has created state-of-the-art solutions for management of international railway-based freight traffic, and offers both IT and logistics services to the European Railway market.
We are now searching for an IT Solutions Developer for the company, to be based in our Swedish office, located in Sundbyberg. The company language is English. Fluency in Swedish is welcome; Fluency in other European languages is considered a plus.

Employment function:
You will be maintaining at least one of our major internal software systems, used as part of our tracking and tracing service to European railway operators. Maintenance duties involve applying change requests to source code, reviewing and adapting source code to remove detected coding errors. The development will be within a Microsoft environment, using Microsoft Visual Studio.
New and current technologies from Microsoft, within .NET are also part of the development process.
Required personal attributes:
• Knowledge of Visual Basic 6, COM, ASP, T-SQL
• Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
• Knowledge of Visual Studio
• Proficiency with software development cycles
• You should be able to work independently, assume responsibility and cooperate with your colleagues and with customers throughout Europe
• Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented attitude are also essential
• You are a fast and independent learner who can both lead and be led
Desired personal attributes:
• Knowledge in software development and design based mostly on Microsoft development products, especially for web-based environments
• A knowledge of C#, Web Service development in .NET is an advantage
Education/experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical degree
• Between 3-5 years of proven software development experience within a Microsoft environment
• Certifications for MCSD, MCAD, MCSE, or MCDBA or similar are advantages
• Experience in medium-large scale logistics web-based IT systems is an advantage
