The product areas comprise Tube, Strip, Wire and Heating Technology, Process Systems and MedTech.
SMT CIO Office has a global responsibility for IT within SMT, and is currently looking for a Project Manager working with two main areas - the advancement and implementation of the SMT MES-system and the coordination of SMT Production IT.
Key performance areas
As the Project Manager you will join our team working with the SMT MES concept. Your main tasks will be to:
• Act as SMT MES Project Manager
• Act as coordinator for SMT production IT
• Participate in the roll-out of MES projects
• Report to the SMT MES Steering group
• Act as Chairman of the SMT Project Management Team (PMT)
• Take an active part in the strategic work within the Production IT area
The Project Manager will also act as the coordinator regarding Production IT issues and work in close cooperation with Sandvik IT Services (SITS) and Product Units/Product Areas (PU/PA).
The position is based in Sandviken, Sweden, but you must be prepared to travel to all geographical regions.
Your profile
To be successful in this position you should have a university degree with a major in IT and/or manufacturing or a related field, or strong working experience within the area. Good project management skills and experience managing projects with a group of at least ten individuals is a requirement. You are service minded with great customer focus and are highly skilled within the manufacturing area. You have excellent communication skills and you are fluent in Swedish and English, both written and verbal.
