IES Örebro is looking for an IT pedagogue to guide and support our students and teachers!

About you:

You're positive, proactive and work efficiently towards goals. You understand the value of technology in the classroom and you're excited about the opportunities technology creates for learners. You have excellent communication skills, which allows you to share your knowledge to guide and support our wonderful staff and students in learning more about ICT. You're interested in programming and excited about the opportunity to teach students how to program our arduino kits.

About the role:

This role is diverse and stimulating and you'll have plenty of opportunities to interact with different groups of staff and students. You'll work proactively to solve problems and guide development by hosting workshops and providing training materials that meet the needs of staff and students.

As our IT pedagogue, you're part of our admin team, with specific responsibility for Schoolsoft, G Suite for Education and our one-2-one technology solutions. To support you in your role, you're a part of the IES IT group which is hosted by IES Central Services and you have regular contact with our service providers Ricoh and Linn Education.

Additional areas of responsibility include:

• Assisting with the training new employees
• Helping students to learn basic programming skills
• Updating and maintaining Chromebooks, iPads, MacBooks
• Ensuring the safety and security of hardware and wifi networks
• Administrator for Google Suite for Education, Windows 10, Office 365
• Primary contact person for our IT service providers Ricoh and Linn Education
• Other duties include: evaluating web filter, network reports, storage audits, GDPR compliance, IT budget

Education:

Higher education (ie. university or eftergymnasial) and preferably two years experience working with IT
