Our team
This is a mini startup-like team that has all the functions a normal IT department should have! It is a small but very strong team that is looking for the best fit soul for the data handling activities. We have all kinds of financial systems that we provide and support for Klarna to run. We need an eager soul to fine tune our systems from a database expert view and bring the awesomeness to the business.
You'll get the chance to work with:
We have some different flavoured databases that are all SQL based which could use your expertise for further fine tuning. Are you a SQL professional that always strives to make any database run as smoooth as possible? Are you into data, ETL, and streaming? Do you like to move data, view data, use data here and there and everywhere to optimise the system and let them deliver the best result of what they are supposed to?
We have in-memory computing databases, we have transactional databases and we also can build any database we are allowed to, to help the business to perform easier. We run on cloud and we run on flexibility. So if you are also curious about the cloud world with all kinds of data, this is a great opportunity for you.
So how will we do all that?
We will provide you the training you need to on board you with the knowledge that you need for the job. We also need your expertise to help us grow together. We encourage new ideas, we appreciate a can do attitude, and we do not just leave you facing the issue alone but work as a team to achieve what we strive for.
We want a team member who can grow with us together. We will need you to work on some SQL server administrative job, that should be easy! We will need you to learn and work on some data ETL tasks with streaming and some graphic flow in one of our financial systems. We will need your help to play with the data, the capacity, the performance and the tables etc in some monster sized in-memory computing database. If you love modelling and developing tasks based on any type of database, that will be a great quality to have as well.
You should have
Professional experience with MS SQL database administration (optimisation, tuning, configuration, monitoring)
Experiences with any Cloud flavours like AWS, Azure or GCP
If you understand GIT, Terraform, cloud formation and Ansible playbook, it will be a very nice plus (but not mandatory)
Great analytical skills and the ability to understand complex systems
Good knowledge of SQL query performance optimisation
A healthy appetite to learn new things, sometimes even outside your comfort zone!
You might also have
Good knowledge of database scaling techniques for high-performance databases
Good knowledge of the Linux operating system and windows systems
Good knowledge of other databases like SAP HANA , or Sybase IQ etc.
