By applying for the IT & Strategy Talent Programme you can become 1 of 40 talents working towards that goal. Each of the 40 positions in the programme is unique and has its own specific responsibilities and challenges. This is a two-year programme with a strong focus on your development. From the outset you'll have your own development plan which will be tailored towards a role suitable for you and include building blocks with learning goals towards that target. The focus is very much on learning by doing, and together with your manager you'll select different assignments and rotations where you'll participate in real projects, and contribute to fossil free living, at the same time as you get the experience you need to boost your development.
Your role as an IT security specialist
Your talent program journey starts in a team in the Data Analytics & ICT Solutions department within Vattenfall Research & development. You will be involved in developing IT and OT security solutions towards Staff Function IT and Business Area Distribution within Vattenfall, in close cooperation with our business developers. In this important area you will be part of taking our development of different security solutions to the next level and contribute to a modern first class system in Vattenfall.
Your daily activities:
• Developing IT and OT security solutions in the team together with business experts within Staff Function IT and Business Area Distribution
• Together with your colleagues methodically break down big and unclear business issues into projects and questions of more manageable size.
• Perform various tasks related to cyber security within R&D teams, e.g. design reviews; system vulnerability assessments, response to security threats and attacks; development of threat prevention strategies.

• Harmonise the implementation of IT security measures within Vattenfall to meet applicable security requirements.
• Conduct technical security evaluations and penetration tests. This involves risk identification and mitigation.
• Writing security requirements and evaluating supplier offerings and design.
• Security risk assessments and solution designs based on the risk level.
• Propose a suitable solution that satisfies the business requirements and is secure, compliant, robust, resilient, and with high quality
• Leading and participating in development and demonstration projects as well as offering technical support to our business and product developers
• Be a member of the Data Analytics & ICT Solutions department

As an IT security specialist you recognize yourself in the following:
• You have recently graduated with Master of Science degree or higher in Computer Science or similar with a specialist track within cyber/IT security
• Complemented with a business background is good but not necessary. You know the basic elements and pitfalls of project management and you are ready to apply this in a new play field. You learn by trial and error and are not afraid to make mistakes.
Location
You will be working in the Research & Development department and the location for this position is in Solna or Älvkarleby in Sweden.

Selection period starts in April, followed by online tests and interviews in April and May. The recruitment process will be finalized around the end of May/beginning of June. The last step will be a pre-employment screening. Starting date of the IT & Strategy Talent Programme will be September 1st 2022.
