By applying for the IT & Strategy Talent Programme you can become 1 of 40 talents working towards that goal. Each of the 40 positions in the programme is unique and has its own specific responsibilities and challenges. This is a two-year programme with a strong focus on your development. From the outset you'll have your own development plan which will be tailored towards a role suitable for you and include building blocks with learning goals towards that target. The focus is very much on learning by doing, and together with your manager you'll select different assignments and rotations where you'll participate in real projects, and contribute to fossil free living, at the same time as you get the experience you need to boost your development.
Your role as a Business and Data Analyst
Your talent program journey starts in the Data Science & AI team within Vattenfall Research & Development. You will be involved in supporting and developing data- strategies and data science oriented solutions towards Business Area Distribution within Vattenfall, in close cooperation other engineers and data scientists. You are analytical, inclusive, self-driven as well as team player with good communication and interpersonal skills. You are committed to climate-smarter living and strive to drive change in that direction.
Your daily activities:
• Together with your colleagues methodically break down big and unclear business issues into projects and questions of more manageable size.
• Lead and participate in the development of prototypes or proof-of-concepts that explore these issues in a illustrative way
• Communicate and share results with various stakeholders to drive the further implementation of these projects in the business.
• Be an active member of the Data Science & AI team at Vattenfall R&D
Who are you?
• You are analytical, inquisitive, and not afraid to be outside of your comfort zone.
• You are entrepreneurial and enjoy solving problems. You love taking on new challenges and finding creative solutions.
• You have the ability to explain complicated issues to a wide variety of audiences. You are able to explain complex topics in a much simpler way if necessary.
• You are passionate about creating and most importantly driving change in a business that is in the middle of an electrification revolution.
• You are committed to climate-smarter living and believe that sustainable business is the only kind of business.
• You are able to misinterpret the word "impossible".
As a Business and Data Analyst, you recognize yourself in the following:
• You are a recent graduate at masters level or higher, most likely with an engineering degree and preferably with a strong background in energy system, data science and/or information technology.
• You know the basic elements and pitfalls of project management and you are ready to apply this in a new play field. You are familiar with the agile way of working.
• You have strong communication skills and not afraid to ask questions.

You will be working in the department of Research And Development and the location for this position is Stockholm, Sweden

Application process
We welcome your application in English, including resume and cover letter. Last day to apply is April 22nd 2022. Selection period starts in April, followed by online tests and interviews in April and May. The recruitment process will be finalized around the end of May/beginning of June. The last step will be a pre-employment screening. Starting date of the IT & Strategy Talent Programme will be September 1st 2022.
