We are searching for an IT Manager (m/f) - IoT Services
Essity is delivering highly innovative Internet of Things software solutions to our customers and are now looking for a candidate, who wants to join our team to improve our deliveries through Excellent Organizational Development and People Management,
Are you passionate about developing IoT and SaaS solutions? Do you want your work to have a direct impact on our operations as well as our customers'?
Essity is looking for an IT Manager to join the IoT Services organization. The candidate we're looking for should have a genuine interest and experience in building modern scalable web applications as well as building and leading software development teams.
The position is preferably based in Gothenburg (Sweden), but can also be based in any of our offices in Europe with frequent visits to our office in Gothenburg.
Main Tasks
Actively drive the service development of your area, ensuring that we're constantly delivering value in an efficient way
Engage and manage a team of software engineers, focusing on delivery
Responsible of recruitment, including consultants. This means work with HR to create job postings, screen resumes, interview candidates etc.
Build long-term relationships within area of responsibility both externally (vendors, customers) and internally (stakeholders)
Respond to more complex, escalated enquiries from team members. Develop and provide problem solving guidelines, checklists or other materials to improve problem resolution.
You are the voice of your team, and as such need the ability to communicate both up the management chain, across to other functional groups as well as communicating news, decision making to your team
Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the respective team with an emphasis to coach and mentor employees. Provide specific, timely and constructive performance feedback
Key Competencies
Relevant university degree in computer science or equivalent
Software Development and/or Engineering background
Strong Experience from managing software engineers
Several years of software leadership and strong knowledge of technologies such as IoT, SaaS, DevOps, multiple cloud computing platforms
Demonstrated experience working in global matrix organizations, leading remote teams
Excellent people management skills and ability to lead a team to self-organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Fluent English is required in this position
