Are you a motivated individual with very strong technical knowledge combined with the ability and desire to learn about and work with complex system installations? This is an opportunity for you to work in an international environment with a team of likeminded infrastructure experts in a cutting-edge expanding software company - Jeppesen in Gothenburg.

Jeppesen's global hosting and deployment team operates from four different locations; Gothenburg, Montreal, New York and Singapore. We are looking for someone that can help Jeppesen take the next step in order to expand their business and find smarter and more structured ways of working, with the appropriate tools for maintaining infrastructure and security.

You will be a Subject Matter Expert in several aspects of infrastructure, hosted environments and configuration, serving as an advisor to both internal stakeholders in projects and programs as well as external customers.

This position will be responsible for the daily and long-term support, service of Jeppesen's hosted customers and also the non-hosted customers with deployments.

The role

As an IT Infrastructure Expert you will spend a significant part of your time in the following areas:

• Enabling the team to provide the best hosting service ever. Today Jeppesen are providing PaaS but we are moving towards SaaS this year.

• Become an authority on several production system installations for Airline Crew Management.

• Provide application management, system administration and advanced technical support to Airline Crew Management products, according to the Service Level Agreement(s).

• Requirements definition, design and deployment of complex system installations.

• Work closely with customers (both external and internal) as an infrastructure expert.

• Work closely with Jeppesen's teams (in Gothenburg and other cities).

• Installing and maintaining cloud-based servers.

• Assist the client with knowledge injections, proactive problem solving and daily management of the production installation.

• Act as the primary infrastructure contact for the customer and work internally with different teams to ensure issues are properly resolved within the expected timeframe.

Who are you?

• You have plenty of experience working as an infrastructure expert.

• You take responsibility for issues and work well both independently and within a team.

• You are service-minded and enjoy helping customers and colleagues.

• You enjoy a variety of challenges of a highly technical nature. Technical challenges and problem solving excite you! But you are also able to take a break from technical matters from time to time in order to enjoy some social interaction.

• You have expert knowledge of Unix and/or Linux and shell scripting.

You are an expert in one or more of the following areas:

• Customer relationships

• VMWare, IBM Netapp or similar

• Experience with Active Directory, IdP, SAML, LDAP and similar technologies

• Network design, administration and troubleshooting, Routers/Firewalls/NAT

• Ansible

• Univa Grid Engine

• Messaging systems such as MQ, ActiveMQ, Qpid

• Windows Server

• JBoss/Wildfly

• Databases (Oracle or PostgreSQL preferably)

• ServiceNow

• Version control (Git / Mercurial)

Your team

The team you will be working with consist of 10 system experts and serve about 30 airline customers. Jeppesen support all their customers 24x7 with a Follow the Sun support model.
