IT Development Manager
Volvo Car Corporation is looking for an IT Development Manager to join the Development & Professional Services (DPS) department. You will be managing a team of highly qualified IT Professionals working at the leading edge of the Connected Car Program and be responsible for the Delivery of the IT Projects therein. Your group will work closely with the research & development department at Volvo Car Corporation and you will report to the IT Director of the DPS department where you will be a member of the Management Team. The Management Team is a part of a new organisational structure supporting Volvo Car Corporation's new strategies where IT should contribute substantially to the business value. In this role you will get to work with innovative projects and have the opportunity of significant growth within the company.
DPS is an IT function responsible for the global delivery of new IT developments and IT projects within the Operational Development (OD) portfolio. The contribution of the department is of strategic importance and is connected to Production Offering and Customer Satisfaction. DPS provides the IT and professional services needed to secure effective and successful delivery of new IT solutions.
Job profile:
You will manage and lead the team responsible for:
• Developing and maintaining knowledge of the relevant business areas including Business rules & process knowledge and information structures
• Determining the appropriate delivery model for each OD Project
• Securing good quality and precise requirements definitions
• Supplier and Delivery Management of Outsourced phases and turnkey project delivery
• IT Project Management of internally delivered OD Projects
• Application of appropriate Project Governance and Project Delivery frameworks
• Securing interoperability and compatibility with the existing IT environment
Your profile:
• University degree or equivalent
• Minimum 12 years experience within IT Project and/or Process Development
• Demonstrable track record in IT Project Management & IT Service Innovation
• Previous exposure to product development, service innovation and/or mobile solutions through Project Development and/or IT Support & Maintenance
• Experience of leading team of experts and leadership in Change Management
• Strong motivation and ability to develop employees and operations
• Self starting and highly motivated
• Entrepreneurial with willingness to experiment, innovate and take on new challenges
• Striving for improvement
• Result oriented
• Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
