We are now looking for a IT Business Developer in advertising for one of our clients. To strengthen the development team for the client, they are now looking for an IT Business Developer with extensive experience within .NET and Microsoft SQL Server. The IT Business Development Department currently consists of 13 committed employees, integrating, developing and maintaining a large variety of applications across different platforms with the banking application Olympic, on an iSeries (AS/400) platform, as the core system. The strategy is to integrate "best of breed" applications and adapt them to solutions that address business processes and add value to both the internal as well as external end-users. All implementations are carried out in close co-operation with the internal end-users.
Our client has a dynamic, flexible and challenging workspace that offers a wide variety of demanding tasks in a project-oriented environment. To strengthen the team, they are looking for a Microsoft developer with at least 3 years of experience preferably within the financial sector to join this team.
The position requires:
• Good understanding of the Investment Funds area.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases.
• Solid experience with developing using .NET and Microsoft SQL Server.
Responsibilities include:
• Prioritize and deliver according to agreements, the overall prioritization and the solution stability.
• Design, code and test (Unit tests and Integration tests) software ensuring reusability.
• Implement changes to custom build or packaged software applications to meet business process requirements.
• Document and assist in defining the functional and technical requirements of the application.
• Create, execute and document tests necessary to ensure that an application or technical environment meets performance and functional requirements.
• Secure the developed solutions are aligned with all relevant for the client IT standards, best practices and requirements from the IT Architect.
• Proactive behavior towards business with regards to 3rd level support, either by debugging and correcting of production problems or by acting on vendor management regarding 3rd party products.
Your profile
The successful candidate should:
• be an experienced C# developer using the .NET 2.0/3.0 Framework;
• have extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 including Reporting Services;
• be fluent in English (written and spoken), other language(s) being an asset;
• be a positive, highly motivated and pro-active team player;
• be able to work independently and directly with end-users;
• possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex problems and put them into context;
• have strong banking knowledge in general and about investment funds particularly.
