Solution Delivery Unit Manufacturing & Logistics solutions (M&L)) is a global unit within Volvo Group IT in charge of all IT deliveries related to Manufacturing & Logistics solutions. The mission of the unit is to ensure that the Volvo Group 's IT solutions and IT projects within the area are managed in an optimal way.
Solution Center GTO Service Market Logistics
The Solution Center "GTO Service Market Logistics" is responsible for all deliveries related to solutions in its scope i.e. All the globally appointed IS/IT solutions for GTO Service Market Logistics. The Solution Center "GTO Service Market Logistics" has full responsibility for runtime (cost, quality of service) and for the delivery of projects.
The Solution Center "GTO Service Market Logistics" is supporting roadmap design and long term planning in its area. It is also responsible for driving deliveries according to the global solutions agenda.
Group Customs
The Group Customs is responsible for all deliveries related to deliveries in its scope i.e. maintenance, new development, support and continuous improvements of the customs solutions in the basket.
The function consists of Delivery Leaders, Solution Leaders, IT Business Analysts and Integration Architects, complemented with resources coming from Various Vendor.
We are now looking for an IT Business Analyst for the solutions part of the Customs basket
In this role you will be a part of a global team and reporting to the Delivery Manager - Customs.
Job mission & context
The IT Business Analysis will be involved with, pre-studies, process definitions, end user studies, stakeholder requirements needs, modelling and design ideation to find the optimal solution, consistent and efficient usage of solution and requirement management of Process & IT solutions. The IT Business Analyst must have a good understanding of the business goals and stakeholder needs when working with the service or solutions.
As IT Business Analysis you will be part of a team that works with various changes/activities such as releases, enhancements/new development, support and other runtime and project activities.
Key responsibilities
Supports business in prioritization of scope and in selecting/designing optimal Process & IT solutions based on business processes and user needs
Provide process and functional application support (business solution support) within the dedicated solution area
Support quality assurance activities of end user support, for example root cause analysis, end-to-end support quality etc.
Define and detail change requests on solution
Manage business configuration in solution
Plan and execute Business Analysis activities in pre-studies, projects and runtime delivery
Drive continues operation improvement through solution functionality
Continuously work to improve existing ways of working
Identify opportunities and risks
Support process and solution key user networks
Support and provide input regarding run-time budget and enhancement budget for the solutions
Secure and maintain complete solution documentation including user manual and training material and its execution for the solution
Provide the requirements for hand over from projects to maintenance
Wanted competencies and skills for the position
University degree in Computer Science or similar
Experience in application maintenance, support and development in international assignments
A good understanding of both business and IT and the capability to actively use Information Technology to develop the business
Good understanding of process and solution dependencies and interfaces
Knowledge of Volvo IT practices and tools for Deliver Run-time and One-time Service process
Knowledge in Customs processes and or Volvo Customs solutions will be considered as a merit
Strong communication skills - both oral and written in English
Demonstrate a good ability to network and teamwork
Structured and target oriented, ability to drive and manage activities according to project principles and guidelines
