Working as an IT Architecture Modelling Engineer at Saab Kockums means taking responsibility and having real impact on us creating world leading Submarines and Surface ships! We are looking for someone interested and engaged in IT architecture modelling to join our cross functional team, Onboard Security & IT Architecture.
Your role
As an IT Architecture Modelling Engineer on Kockums you will be working with onboard IT systems in our submarine and surface ship projects. You will be part of the product development process and work closely with our IT Architects and system engineering teams to make sure that the IT systems and IT infrastructure onboard are well designed in accordance to the operational needs. Our products consist of many systems, either developed in house or procured and are integrated in a complex distributed environment. The product architecture includes e.g. operation, information, systems, integration, infrastructure and networks.
The main tasks are:
* Develop (in cooperation with IT Architects and system engineers etc.) models describing e.g. operation, information, systems, integration, infrastructure and networks
* Configure the modelling tool to fit the organization e.g. create and maintain metamodels, documentation and templates, search scripts, external SQL queries to repository, scripts to ease use and user manuals
* Create and maintain the repository structure and the quality of the models. Handle baselines and backups, handle versioning, make releases and ensure status of models
The main part of the work is performed from our office in Malmö however the role include some business travels to Karlskrona, since some work needs to be done at our shipyard.
Your profile
We are looking for a person who can convert requirements and analysis into technical solutions. You need to enjoy working independently and seek necessary contacts and information when needed. However you also need great communicative skills to collaborate with many different stakeholders in our cross functional environment. We are looking for a great colleague that will fit into our group of open minded individuals constantly sharing our knowledge and experience!
Required skills:
* Masters degree in engineering or equivalent experiences
* Good knowledge in IT architecture/systems modelling e.g. Sparx EA, Archimate
* Good communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written
Desired skills:
Good knowledge and experience in;
* Modelling standards, e.g. TOGAF, INCOSE, Archimate,SYSML
* Product development
* IT architecture
* IT infrastructure (e.g. networking, infrastructure services)
* Good knowledge and experience in IT, both in general and in detail
* IT system management and support
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

You will be part of the Onboard Security & IT Architecture (OBSITA) department whose purpose, in addition to IT Architecture and IT system design is to to make sure information onboard our submarines and surface ships are secure from unauthorized access, manipulation, destruction etc. The team you will join consists primarily of Onboard Security Engineers, IT Architects and IT Systems Engineers working closely together. OBSITA is based in Malmö and Karlskrona and part of the area Specialty Engineering within Research and Development.
