The International School of the Stockholm Region (ISSR) is a publically funded international school which exists primarily to serve the educational needs of the transient and/or international community of Stockholm. ISSR runs all three International Baccalaureate's curricula: Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme. The school's language of instruction is English for all subjects. The school has been running the Diploma Programme since 1999 and PYP and MYP since 2012. ISSR aspires to provide a high quality, international environment. The teachers at ISSR are qualified and experienced educators. Teachers and staff take part in the wide range of professional development resources and activities offered by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB). In addition to lessons, teachers often meet their students for individual guidance.

Publiceringsdatum2015-05-18ArbetsuppgifterThis fall ISSR will need a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher in English to teach in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The position includes organizing and carrying out dynamic and well-crafted lessons in IB DP English A Literature, IB DP English B, and MYP English, supervising the MYP-DP Drama Group, acting as a mentor to approximately 15 students, participating in the ISSR school community and working actively to build a culture of learning through collaboration.
Kvalifikationer• Planning high quality lessons and ongoing documentation of student achievement according to IB standards.
• Maintaining an engaging and organized learning environment
• Mentorship for approximately 15 students
• Handling IB Extended Essays in English literature and/or English B
• Maintaining ongoing parent/school communication
• Planning with colleagues across the school
• Continued professional development
Qualifications:
A qualified candidate will:
• Be a university educated teacher with certification from either a native English speaking country or Sweden.
• Have international and/or IB teaching experience
• Have experience in working with drama
• Have IB authorized training
• Be a native English speaker
• Be highly competent with IT (Windows platform, Smartboard, HTML, and other tools for learning).
Löneform: Månadslön. Måndag till fredag
Monday to Friday
Anställningsform: Tillsvidareanställning.
Varaktighet: Tillsvidare.
Arbetstid: Dagtid. Månadslön
