Allmän information:

The International School of the Stockholm Region is a publically funded international school which exists primarily to serve the educational needs of the transient and/or international community of Stockholm.

The school runs the International Baccalaureate's curricula. The Primary Years Program (PYP) is offered to students from 5-11 years of age, the Middle Years Program (MYP) is offered to students from 11-16 and the Diploma Program (DP) is available for students from 16-19 year of age. The school's language of instruction is English for all subjects. At ISSR, students can receive an internationally-recognized education in English from 5 to 19 years of age in one location in the center of Stockholm. The teachers at ISSR are qualified and experienced educators. Teachers and staff take part in the wide range of professional development resources and activities offered by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB).

Tjänstebeskrivning:

This fall ISSR will need a DP CAS Coordinator / University Admissions officer (DP)/ IBDP Examinations according to the IB DP framework. Included in the CAS coordination is also administrating the ISSR sports association. The position includes guiding students and staff through the two-year CAS programme. There is an ongoing expectation to collaborate closely with students, teachers and parents to facilitate learning. All documentation and communication at ISSR is carried out in English.

Responsibilities include:

- Responsible for the tracking and implementation of the CAS programme at the DP1 and DP2 level. Ensuring students participation as well as creating new possibilities for students to meet CAS requirements both in and outside of school. Monitoring their progress and conducting several yearly meetings with each student to evaluate progress and give feedback on areas of improvements.
- CAS Coordination responsibility also includes training activity supervisors, supervising the professional development of CAS advisers and ensuring that staff, parents and other students are kept informed about CAS.
- Administration of the ISSR sports association. These duties entail the budgeting, hiring and supervision of coaches. Continuously collaborating with other schools in Sweden and abroad. Continue the collaboration with the European School Sports League (ESSL).
- Helping students with their international university application process, logistics of applying such as creating each individual account as well as training them on how to write personal statements. Teacher training on writing reference letters and being responsible for final submission of student application.
- Registering and administering the May/Nov IBDP exams







Qualifications:

Requirements:

- A University Degree in education
- Previous experience in administration and coordination
- Proficiency in written and spoken English

Other qualifications may also include:

- Previous experience in youth sports organization
- IB experience



The position is available provided it is not claimed by a surplus staff member of Stockholm Stad.
