The iSeries storage area is one of the most important and prioritized storage platforms within Volvo IT. iSeries is one of the oldest and most reliable platforms within Volvo and some of our customers most critical applications runs within it. iSeries Storage is a part of a global service delivery supplying cost effective high performance storage to both Volvo Group and external customers.
Main responsibility
Performing daily operational work within the iSeries storage team where you will also have the technical responsibility for specific areas. In the daily work you will monitor the environment, perform troubleshooting and take proactive actions on you own but also in cooperation with other technicians. You will participate in the planning and cost calculations of maintenance and enhancements tasks within your specific area.
We want you to have:
• Experience in one or several iSeries areas
• Experience in the IBM BRMS
• Experience in CL and/or RPG programming
• Experience either in EMC Storage and/or IBM Storage products
• Experience of Storage operations in the iSeries environment
• English language skills, both spoken and written
• Good communication and cooperation skills
• A global and proactive mind set
• A business oriented mindset and are able to establish good relations with our customers and vendors
• A professional, respectful and spirited mindset
• The ability to establish and maintain good relations, and also have the ability to work in global, multi-cultural organization.
