Job description
We are looking for a dynamic and result oriented IP & SDN Technical Sales Support Manager who can drive increased sales through great technical knowledge of IP & SDN and our product portfolio that Smart Services Router (SSR), future router products and SDN/NFV to customers world wide. We are particularly seeking candidates that have prior industry knowledge of Cloud based solutions and SDN, which is an area this role will focus heavily depending on the candidate's background the role would involve a seat on the PL SDN extended management team, as well as close co-operation with the Cloud Sales Support.
The IP & SDN Technical Sales Support Manager is based in Ericsson Stockholm/Kista office in Sweden and is a worldwide role. Although most of the work is based in Stockholm regular travel is expected.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Proactive; enable technical sales:
Promote and evangelize Ericsson's IP and SDN Portfolio, including SSR, future router products and SDN/NFV.
Drive and actively engage with regions on business opportunities
Be ambassador of Ericsson's IP and SDN portfolio and assist marketing and regional organizations with customer workshops, industrial conferences and corporate events
Technical Advice
Energize the IP & SDN community through product related internal forums.
Energize the wider IP & SDN community through involvement in product and solutions related external forums
Specific Skills and Experience required for the role
Significant understanding of IP networking in general, Cloud and SDN plus expert in 1 or more IP networking domains relevant to IP Routers and Services, e.g. BRAS/BNG, L2L3, MPLS, SDN and WiFi
Strong ability to work in a complex global environment, effectively building and sustaining relationships with the customer as well as internally.
Strong background in product solutions/consultative sales approach and process with ability to translate business needs to end-to-end architectures
Education and Experience
BS/BA - EE/CS required. CCIE, JNCIE or other industry certification is a bonus
Minimum 5 years industry experience in architecture, design and operation of large-scale networks.
