This assignment is for staffing specific competence on our SW development teams involved in development for Packet Core Control (PCC) and Packet Core Gateway (PCG). Packet Core Control is the new, cloud native control plane signaling processing function in the dual-mode 5G Core offering. It provides the access, session, mobility and gateway control functions to support the new 5G use-cases. Packet Core Gateway is the new, cloud native user plane traffic processing and gateway function in dual-mode 5G Core offering.
GlobalLogic is now looking for a IP Network Solution Architect/System Integrator to join our team in working an onsite assignment with one of our clients within the Telecom/Connectivity domain in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Requirements
Have a Bachelor/Master of science in Telecommunication/IT/Network Engineering or relevant experience
Have 5+ years experience in the service delivery or managed services operations
Operate core packet and IP network implementation.
Identify and solve defined/undefined problems utilizing existing procedures/techniques/methods.
Supervise the core packet switch and IP network implementation technician.
Prepare and update documentation according to specific requirements.
Working experience with TCP/IP, Cisco, Juniper, Smartedge, BIG-IP, Extreme
Familiar with routing protocols, e.g BGP, OSPF, VRRP, JSRP
Solution knowledge in MPLS, layer2 & layer3 VPN
Working knowledge of UNIX and/or LINUX
Be proficient in written and spoken English;
Job Responsibilities
Impact analysis of existing IoT Device Connectivity System (DCS) IP solution with introduction of NGBSS as co-existence BSS node.
Plan and implement Core Packet Switch and IP network equipment configurations on IOT DCS platform.
Design an E2E IP and connectivity design to integrate the new NGBSS platform to the existing DCS Core.
Offer technical support and guidance for O&M engineers.
Support test, acceptance and fault management activities.
Design and develop of the IP solution pre-production and production environments, including ICP deployments in various geographical regions.
Be responsible for the solution lifecycle management (LCM), to evolve the solution, or to retire a solution
IP network operation & trouble shooting (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Load Balancers)
Network audits as base for optimization activities
Create high level design document and update existing design documents.
Method of Procedure (MoP) documentation & implementation (e.g. updates, upgrades & migrations)
LCM documentation, plan for required & recommended expansion/maintenance/replacement activities
Technical support to project managers and the customer, including pre-sales activities
Change management activities, provisioning and parameterization activities, activation/deactivation of system functionalities, deployment, re-homing, end-to-end testing, software upgrade and remote data fill according to R&D solutions.
Be involved in the system/function verification and support activities.
Identify the risk and impact of new service element integration.
Guide trainees by on-job training, job aids and workshops.
