hela Sverige For our client in Gothenburg, we are looking for a Network Engineer Consultant with experience in IP Networks.
Description:
The IP Network Engineer scope covers the whole IP network from design, implementation, operation and security. The networking group within the unit is responsible for the infrastructures that enable development, test and showcasing of company products and solutions. Focus is on the IP network solutions, but it's not limited to that area. The networks include central infrastructures as well as shared and dedicated test environments. The work focus around routers, switches and firewalls, but products like traffic generators, packet monitoring, WiFi and network monitoring systems and more is also part of the work description.
The daily work includes analysis of customer requirements into design and implementation, building new as well as changing existing network configurations and using monitoring/troubleshooting tools to give best-in-class support to our client's users.
The work is in teams working in agile influenced processes - cross both organizational and geographical borders. You will be working hands-on with IP networking and security solutions for telecom environments. Finally, you expected to engage in how our client continuously can improve their services in terms of efficiency, quality and technology.
Qualifications:
You are self-motivated, with the drive to solve problems and expand your knowledge.
You enjoy working in teams, with people from various disciplines and you can communicate with others in English.
You have experience within IP networking and security, at least with CCNP certificate level or equal.
Experience within Telecom, Service Provider or large-scale Datacenter networks is a great advantage.
You are used to working with, and have in-depth knowledge about routers, switches and firewalls from different vendors in live environments and understand what it means to operate live networks with many users.
You are used to working with Linux based operating systems, and preferably you have worked with virtualization platforms.
Automation in the form of scripting, using, e.g. Python, is something of your interested.
