Have you built your own plant watering system at home using Raspberry Pi, or would or do you like the idea of it? Do you think in Binary? Do you like networking on different forums to stay up-to-date with the latest technology, especially within IoT? Then you are the one we are looking for!
During the past years the Ericsson IoT team have connected new eco-systems. We have connected our coffee machines and learnt that we drink a lot of tea, we have connected our offices and we are measuring the air quality around Gothenburg with sensors mounted on electric buses and that is just the beginning.
These projects have all been created in Gothenburg and now we are looking to see how we can improve the area of smart wireless manufacturing. Our Smart Manufacturing team is using our IoT Accelerator platform to connect factories and robots to create a world class Factory 4.0 implementation. We are looking for passionate developers to join this team!
What we will offer you
You will work on a solution for monitoring the 5G network connectivity delays in our clients' factories. Part of the project scope are also solutions for Preventive Maintenance for machines as well as precise location for goods.
You will work in modern facilities at the Ericsson office at Lindholmen, Göteborg. You will engage with Ericsson Garage, our incubator hub, where great new ideas are born. You, as the perfect candidate
Your focus will be back-end development, but if you have experience from full stack development, that's great. We want you anyway! You will have no time to catch up on your programming skills, so we expect that you are already the best in class programmer in Java, which is the main programming language you will use.
We are working with development according to agile methodologies using the Scalable Agile Framework (SAFe) in our larger projects. We know you can 't predict the future but we want you to think beyond the current project to see how it will evolve. Passion and willingness to learn new things are key characteristics of our team members and we think you are that person
PS - if you have experience in some of the following technologies it would be like Christmas came early: Webservices, REST, Big data, CI/CD, Jenkins, databases & microservices.
