Job Description
The Lund eBike teams cover a wide range of technology areas such as embedded real-time systems, communication via CAN-bus, Bluetooth, WiFi, Cellular and User Interface on color Displays. On our platforms running RTOS or Linux, we implement algorithms including machine learning and interaction with cloud backend and mobile Apps. As a Field Test Engineer, you will develop and execute test campaigns for the products developed in Lund. You perform the tests in the field in Lund and possibly abroad, you use external partners to extend coverage to all markets we launch in, and you work on implementing automatic tests on our test rigg to simulate field conditions. The test devices can be both wireless and non-wireless and regardless your tests will be user centric. You should also be ready to help the development team in testing their code implementations on pull-request level. The teams are involved throughout the development process, from HW evaluation to maintenance mode. We work in an agile way, using Scrum, Kanban and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). You should have the possibility to travel abroad when needed, up to 20 days per year.
Qualifications
A successful candidate must be a team player with strong social skills as well as a cross-functional mindset, e.g. software-hardware-test. You have a strong drive, and a "can do" positive attitude. You take ownership of assignments and are keen to deliver on-time. Furthermore, you are motivated to continuously learn as well as being keen to share your knowledge with your colleagues.
Essential skills and experiences:
• Master/Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience of software testing in lab and in the field, preferably of wireless consumer electronics.
• Experience in wireless technologies such as LTE-cat 1/M/NB-IoT, BLE and WiFi, with a good understanding of the protocols used.
• Experience in creating test plans covering formal requirements as well as user centric scenarios.
• Experience in leading/driving test activities, also in cooperation with external partners
• Experience in creating automatic tests in a test rigg, using Python and/or similar tools.
• Experience in creating test reports for different stakeholders,
• Triage skills to analyze test reports and creating bug reports with clear problem statement and component responsible.
Experience of merit:
• SW development on embedded microcontroller systems running RTOS.
• SW testing integrated with developers on pull request level.
• Experience with 3rd party wireless testers and understanding of user manuals.
