What's it about?
Together with the team you'll work on both new features and maintenance, to continuously modernise the app - with millions of users. We were early adopters of Swift and have since moved the majority of our code base over to a Swift-only architecture. While you will be digging into the odd Objective-C here and there, our goal is to be 100% Swift in a short time and hopefully we will be walking there hand in hand with you. We strive to write maintainable, clear code that is testable, and we use continuous integration and code reviews to ensure we get it right.
Our apps have undergone many design and technical revisions. When we see a new technology or pattern that may benefit our apps and product we don't hesitate to become early adopters and position ourselves ahead of the curve.
The Blocket App Team
We are Blocket's native experts and in charge of our ever growing app. We are a small and ambitious team home to both iOS and Android developers. Our app has amassed around 275 000 users for every developer on the team, which means your work will definitely not go unnoticed. We encourage mob and pair programming and tight collaboration, also, we still haven't agreed on which platform to label "the dark side" yet, meaning your input here could be the decider!
Developing a product like Blocket is truly a team effort and caring for each other is one of our core values. We are looking for positive people who share our purpose of a sustainable future and enjoy collaboration - we always go the extra mile to support our peers!
Who are you?
We believe you are a seasoned developer with at least 3 years hands-on experience of iOS development. You are able to independently lead the development of new features, and enjoy discussing and debating code and solutions with your peers. You like sharing your knowledge with your team and junior developers and above all, you are curious and continuously strive to learn new things.
