We believe that you have proven advanced training in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of experience in business steering or finance related field as well as 2-4 years of cross-functional experience from other IKEA organizations. Moreover, we expect you to have experience in financial reporting, analysing complex data and building up reporting structures, organizing strategic decision-making forums and multicultural working environment.
To be successful in this role, you have:
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and financial reporting
• Extensive knowledge of Ingka Business Navigation processes, models and investment calculation principles and process; Ingka operational reporting and Ingka Real Estate asset investment regulations
• Thorough knowledge of business intelligence tools, such as Power BI, TM1 solutions, as well as reporting and working with complex data
• Knowledge of Expansion and Real Estate processes
• Good Knowledge of company legal obligations, governance and performance; IKEA concept, brand objectives, values and vision; IKEA omnichannel shopping experience
• Good knowledge of how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders in Ingka
As a person, you need to have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities that you are able to translate business needs into financial consequences and solutions. You are result oriented with a strong sense of urgency and you have the ability to deliver results within a given framework. You are able to create energy and commitments around the growth and profitability agenda. You are also able to understand the diversity of the markets, both in the business and the functional competence dimension, as well as the complexity of IKEA business and the role of expansion as an integrated part of the business. Moreover, you work and perform in a structured and organised way with flexibility and simplicity and you communicate and present clearly within specific areas of expertise and with IKEA tone of voice.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development of Ingka Strategic Expansion plan, related investment processes, portfolios and expansion business cases of new and existing Customer Meeting Points (CMPs), developing and maintaining guidelines, standards and instructions for investment management process, support and follow-up of Group Expansion performance including Central Planning hub, to secure sustainable growth, profitability and operational excellence.
You will:
• Be responsible to provide analyses as part of the Investment & Operations agenda to support the overall Group Expansion agenda as well as to provide analyses to support the Strategic Ingka Expansion plan including related processes and working methods
• Be responsible to contribute with portfolio content, reporting and data management, project and portfolio status, analysis and follow up of the Retail Market Penetration Portfolio.
• Lead the development, coordination and administration of the investment process of expansion projects and activities
• Be responsible for the development and follow-up of consolidated Expansion business cases in new and existing markets
• Support the development and follow-up of Expansion development and APM (Active Portfolio Management)/SISAN (Store In Shape As New) projects in new and existing properties
• Be responsible to follow-up on goals and KPI's for Group Expansion and the Expansion matrix, contributing with inputs and expertise to consequent improvement activities
• Be responsible to develop analysis and support the budget process and performance management during the year, including project cost allocations and follow-up for Group Expansion including Central Planning Hub.
This role is located in Malmö and will report to Investment & Operations Manager.
