About the team and your role
We are looking for an Investment Manager to join us as at Trine. As Investment Manager, you are part of a small team with extensive experience from deal origination, in particular in emerging markets. The responsibility of the Investments Team at Trine is to source the most bankable and scalable solar energy companies globally for debt funding. The team members are highly motivated individuals working independently and collaboratively, spread across different cities and time zones, currently Nairobi and Stockholm.
You will have varied tasks and a steep learning curve. You will report directly to the Head of Investments and you will be responsible for growing the investment pipeline of bankable solar companies. The primary tasks include sourcing new financing opportunities, preparing investment committee documentation, due diligence and relationship building. You will be instrumental for Trine's growth across its entire portfolio. This is an opportunity to be part of a high performing team at a pivotal time in Trine's growth.
Location: Gothenburg (HQ) or Nairobi
You would be responsible for
• Sourcing potential investment opportunities
• Initiating, building and maintaining relationships with borrowers.
• Representing TRINE to borrowers and external stakeholders globally.
• Travelling extensively for due diligence trips.
• Using alternative crowd-funded finance as a creative problem solving tool.
We are looking for
A person that has a passion for and at least 3 years of experience in finance for emerging markets, preferably debt finance. You are a team player with a can-do attitude and enjoy contributing with your experiences to help develop the company. You enjoy the fast-paced, ever-changing landscape of alternative investments and you are a problem solver and jet-setter.
