We believe that you have proven advanced training in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of experience in business navigation or finance related field as well as 2-5 years of cross-functional experience from other IKEA organizations. Moreover, we expect you to have experience in business case creation, financial reporting, analysing complex data and building up reporting and meeting structures to improve performance in a multicultural environment.
To be successful in this role, you have:
• Extensive knowledge of business case creation and calculations, especially related to the financial dimension.
• Experience from working with investment request creation and reviews to support decision-making bodies to make informed decisions, being aware of both benefits and risks.
• Strong proficiency in working with data applications, such as Power BI, Microsoft Office, and understanding of financial reporting within Ingka.
• Business understanding of our omnichannel reality and how it translates into investments requests creation and follow-up
• Knowledge about the Ingka Expansion process and investments into Real Estate assets is desirable
• Good Knowledge of company legal obligations, governance and performance; IKEA concept, brand objectives, values and vision; IKEA omnichannel shopping experience

You are also able to understand the diversity of the markets, both in the business and the functional competence dimension, as well as the complexity of IKEA business and the role of expansion as an integrated part of the business. Moreover, you work and perform in a structured and organised way with flexibility and simplicity, and you communicate and present clearly within specific areas of expertise and with IKEA tone of voice.
Your responsibilities
In this role, you will develop investment, cost management, and follow-up processes and required tools. You will provide guidance to countries and group stakeholders. Provide expertise to countries on business cases/investment requests for all retail expansion projects and organize follow-ups on investments to secure successful and profitable expansion of IKEA retail.
You will:
• Lead and develop Investment Management, Cost Management, and Follow-up processes in the Ingka Expansion Process landscape. Constantly evaluate and look for opportunities to improve and simplify the processes while safeguarding quality of outcome.
• Develop, coordinate, and administer the investment process of expansion projects and activities, including governance and reviews, tools and templates, working methods and communication, analysis, and follow-up.
• Develop, coordinate and follow up consolidated retail expansion business cases in new and existing markets. Develop the ways of working with investment requests and follow-ups to reflect our changing environment, to simplify and secure adequate information and facts that are required for informed decision-making and high-performing investments.
• Be responsible to organize and facilitate follow-up capabilities and solutions for Retail Area New Business & Expansion and to make them available for follow-up owners within the Retail Area and beyond.
Contribute to Strategic Expansion plans and portfolio creation and content. Ensure connectivity between follow-up, investment approvals and portfolio management to enable end-to-end KPIs to measure performance.
