Supply Chain Management has the responsibility to manage the global supply chain and set global standards for SCM and the logistics network in order to create flow. We design and operate a seamless global supply chain to exceed our customers' expectations.

About us
The logistics function Parts Supply & Logistics within Supply Chain Management is responsible for the procurement, storage and distribution of spare parts and accessories to VCC's customers throughout the world. This includes operational control of all Volvo-owned parts inventory, warehouse management and transportation, as well as the long-term development of the global logistics process.
We today have a Central Distribution Centre in Gothenburg and more than 55 support warehouses all over the world including sourcing warehouses in China and US. The Local Distribution Centre (LDC) and Volvo Managed Inventory (VMI) concepts are the spline of our distribution strategy and we are constantly expanding the network in order to shorten the lead-time to our dealers and customers. Digitalization, sustainability and battery logistics are becoming increasingly important and get more and more focused.
We are now looking for an Inventory Manager to join our team, located in Gothenburg.
As an Inventory Manager you will be responsible for inventory control of some of our warehouses in the world.

What you'll do
• Manage Demand, Optimize Service and Inventory
• Continues improvement of existing systems and development of the business
• Collect process data, analyse and develop improved processes.
• Initiate, drive and support process change implementation and standardization.
• Drive for continuous development of customer knowledge and satisfaction.
• Establish and develop a strong collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and improve statistical and analytical methods.

Who you are
The right person for this job probably has a University Degree in Supply Chain Management or similar and some years of work experience in the Supply Chain area.
Since you will work in a global setting you need to be fluent in English, both written and spoken and have a willingness to travel. Also, you need to be used and/or have the ability to work with continues development in a fast-paced environment.
Competence and experience are important, but personality is maybe even more important. To succeed in this role, you need to have strong analytical skills and in using Excel. Since it is a broad role you need to be organized and structured in order to get things done. You are positive, customer oriented and have an ability to build good relations.
