EMEA Cab and Vehicle Assembly is responsible for manufacturing and assembly of cabs, complete trucks and knock-down (KD) kits for the Volvo, Renault and UD brands in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Our task is to supply the markets with the right number of trucks in a quality-assured process, at the right time and at the lowest possible cost. The Volvo Production System (VPS) is our lever to engage all our people in continuous improvement and to reach operational excellence.

GTO EMEA has production at 15 plants - 9 wholly-owned and 6 in collaboration with partners. The largest plants are located in Göteborg and Umeå in Sweden, Ghent in Belgium, Bourg and Blainville in France, and Kaluga in Russia

Intro engineering is today 14 employees where of 11 in Tuve and 3 in Umeå. The main task is to central prepare and develop instructions and tooling in product projects.
When cab trim move to Tuve plant 2015 intro engineering will be located in Tuve.

Mission
For EMEA Cab & Vehicle Assembly: Contribute to the achievement of the GTO EMEA objectives by prepare cost-efficient tools and lean methods.
Main activities and responsibilities
The person we are looking for will work in the group of intro engineering in Tuve. As an intro engineer for a technical area you will have a close cooperation with the manufacturing engineering in EMEA plants and technical preparation.
As an Intro Engineer you will be responsible for central preparation of assembly instructions, timestudies and development of tools & equipment for product projects.
You are also responsible to lead a team with manufacturing engineers within EMEA Volvo plants.
You will be involved in different product projects to secure needed actions to meet set targets.
Some traveling to other EMEA plants is a part of the job.

Critical competencies for the position
• Technical post-secondary degree or equivalent work experience
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Networking ability in a multi-cultural environment
• Communication skills
• Team player
• Experience from production and or production engineering is meritorious.
• Competence with the systems SPRINT, KAP, COS/OM, KOLA is meritorious
