Do you want to gain important work experience and invaluable networking opportunities?

Operation and Site Technology, within the Research and Development Department, is distributed over two locations in Sweden, one in Denmark and one in Scotland with the aim to develop future solutions for how to enable a higher penetration of renewable energy into the grid, working with the latest technology in wind-, hydro power, smart grids and smart home solutions.

The internship

As an intern within Operation and Site Technology you will be heavily involved in everyday processes. You will work with programing in Matlab to find the most appropriate model to use in a wind farm, and it is not just a matter of implementing an already specific model. Thus an open-minded and curious attitude is needed in addition to the ability to accept guidance while still being able to work and focus on your own.

The internship has a duration of 6 month with start in March - April.
Example of work tasks:

• Implementation of model in Matlab for Grid and Wind turbines generators in a wind farm.

• Finding and evaluating existing models and making well-balanced choices to find the most appropriate model to use in a wind farm control simulation environment.

Your Profile

You have at least a Master in Engineering, Physics or an equivalent scientific degree with specialization within electrical engineering or engineering physics. Previous experience within control engineering and modelling of physical systems is considered a plus, just like knowledge about wind power is an advantage. Additionally, we would like to see that you:

• Are open, curious and driven
• Possess analytical and structural skills
• Have verbal and written communication skills

Furthermore, you have good knowledge in Matlab, MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point). You are also social and communicate well in English, both written and oral.
