The foundation of Mattssons business is marketing and storage of the most extensive range of fasteners and special details. Mattssons is a Swedish company originating from Anderstorp in the Southern part of Sweden, with operations in Sweden, Portugal and China.
International Purchasing & Supplier Developer to Mattssons in Sweden, focusing on Asia.
Role and Responsibility
Your job will be to indentify new as well as maintain and develop the business and relationship with the Asian suppliers. You will work in close collaboration with the quality department as well as the suppliers themselves, in order to enhance and continually develop delivery and purchasing price accuracy. A crucial part of the job contains analysis of short- and long term availability as well as price accessibility, volume control and conditions. The daily job also contain close collaboration with Mattssons? China unit, in order to secure quality, costs and logistics of the supplied goods within Mattssons as well as to the customers.
You will take an active part in the purchasing devleopment process and work in close collaboration with the Purchasing Manager. Furter on, you will be reporting through the corporate ERP system linked to ISO processes. Negotiation, travelling and execute purchases will be a natural part of the job.
Experiences & Characteristics
In order to become a successful Purchasing and Supplier Developer at Mattssons, you are a sharp and experienced purchaser used to handling large volumes with high quality requirements. Further on, you have a technical academic degree, are used to to complex processes within quality, logistics and manufacturing. As a negotiator, you are a very skilled with great experience from technical drawings, steel manufacturing and ISO-processes.
You are social and a good relationship builder with high drive. As a person, you are structured and result oriented. with a healthy competitive instinct. To enjoy this position you have a good understanding of the Chinese culture and business environment, thus being strong at communication across cultural borders are crucial. You need to be business and process oriented, like control and report structures as well as being part of a company with a strong and ambitious devotion to quality.
