Each of the trainee positions is distinct, tied to a department within a specific business area and working location. Your role as a Trainee - Development Engineer
Join our team and contribute to creating a plant designed to operate effectively today and for many years to come.
As part of the Process Design group, which belongs to the Plant Design unit, you'll work alongside both junior and senior colleagues. This mix of experience fosters a strong collaborative environment where we combine expertise to ensure our designs meet regulatory requirements and deliver long-term value.
Collaboration is at the heart of our work. We partner across disciplines, leveraging past project experiences and working together to find the best solutions.
To continuously enhance our skills and knowledge, we engage in cross-functional projects and participate in forums focusing on technical plant functions as well as specific professional roles. You'll also have opportunities to explore new challenges through rotation programs or assignments with other groups.
Additionally, our organization offers a range of internal training courses through our own dedicated training programs.

Your key activities may include:
Attending physical and virtual meetings.
Supporting the organization with technical expertise.
Reviewing technical documents within the team and projects.
Participating in internal and external meetings and forums.
Sharing your knowledge and experiences.
Staying informed about developments within the organization, both locally and across Vattenfall.
Qualifications
Your qualifications as a Trainee - Development Engineer
To succeed in this position, we are looking for individuals who possess both the professional and personal skills to thrive in a dynamic, global environment.
Below are the key qualifications we seek:
You should hold a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering (Process Engineering), Chemistry, or Technical Physics. A Master's degree in any of these areas is considered a strong advantage.
Applicants must have strong proficiency in Swedish with very good skills in speaking, reading, and writing as it is our primary language. Proficiency in English is also required.

To be considered for our traineeship, we are looking for candidates who should:
Be a recent graduate with an academic degree or expected graduation before September 2025.
Have maximum one year of work experience after completing your most recent degree. Interns and student jobs will not be considered.
Be fluent in English. Skills in other languages can be a merit.
Be willing to travel regularly and relocate for short rotations within our organization.
