Become one of our 20 International Trainees at Vattenfall. Each of the trainee positions is unique, linked to a department within a specific business area and a working location. This means that each position has its own specific responsibilities, challenges and matching profile.
Next to your personal development in this unique position you will be enjoying one year of all we have to offer. Your trainee year will be filled with meet-ups with your international trainee team with likeminded individuals. You will be meeting up virtually to work on assignments and live during four seminar weeks where you will be visiting our power plants and growing your superpowers with a variety of trainings.
Your role as a Trainee - Business Developer
The Common Function Unit here at Vattenfall Services is responsible for developing processes and working methods to support the smooth operation Vattenfall Services Nordic. An essential part of business development is to ensure that a good system is in place.
In your role as Trainee Business Developer, you will be part of an engaging team that contributes to the continual development of our working methods, especially in the area of user-friendly IT solutions. You will be a part of a project that aims to improve our sales processes within various associated support systems.
Your daily activities:
Identifying the various stakeholders and their needs
Designing the processes
Designing the IT architecture
Implement the processes and it systems
Actively be involved in follow-up and continual improvement processes
In parallel with the project, you will also participate in the improvements to other processes and IT systems within the Common Function Unit.

As a Trainee Business Developer, you have a passion and good knowledge in process development and requirements for IT systems. You recognize yourself in the following:
You take initiative and have no problem initiating activities to achieve the expected results.
You are able to work independently and enjoy taking responsibility for various tasks
You are structured and detailed when planning processes to achieve both short- and long-term goals.
You are a social individual who communicates and listens well to your colleagues and supervisors to resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.
You are a strategic problem solver who can adapt to unseen circumstances to find creative solutions.
You are our ideal trainee if you are a recent graduate with an academic degree or you graduate before September 2021. You are fluent in English. Skills in other world languages can be a merit. You are willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the organization. And of course, you identify yourself with our principles: active, open, positive and safe.
Location:
You will be working in the department of Common Functions at Vattenfall Services Nordics and the position is located in Gothenburg/ Stockholm in Sweden.

Selection period starts in February, followed by online tests and interviews in March. An assessment is also part of the recruitment process and will take place in April. The recruitment process will be finalized around the end of April. The last step will be a pre-employment screening. Starting date of the Vattenfall International Trainee Programme will be September 1st 2021.
