International students are an important component in terms of our education and research. As such, to ensure that we have a high number of motivated and quality international applicants, we are currently seeking to employ an International Student Recruitment Officer.
Type of employment: temporary full-time (while the Director of International Student Recruitment is on part-time parental leave).
Start Date: September 17, 2018 or upon agreement, until May 24, 2019.
Your place of work will be Campus Falun; however, you will also work regularly at Campus Borlänge since the majority of our programmes taught in English are based there. The postion requires that you are physically present at the workplace on a frequent basis.
Work Duties
As our International Student Recruitment Officer, you will be the central person who encourages and supports non-exchange international students wishing to join the Dalarna University community.
Your two main responsibilities will be:
1. to communicate with potential students interested in taking degree programmes or courses taught in English with the goal of recruiting these students to join Dalarna University; and
2. to promote our degree programmes and courses taught in English to an international audience through modern communication platforms.
You will work closely with colleagues in the Marketing and Communications Office and Admissions Office, and with staff who head the degree programmes taught in English to achieve our recruitment targets and ensure that information about the University is up-to-date and relevant for potential students. You will also be responsible for supporting our international recruitment partners overseas in their efforts to recruit students on our behalf. Your role as International Student Recruitment Officer will cover a number of key areas, while your work duties will be both strategic and operative.
Travel and evening/weekend work may be required.
Qualifications
To be successful in your role as International Student Recruiter at Dalarna University, you will need:
- A relevant university degree
• Experience working with similar duties in your previous positions
• Experience from workning with online marketing
• Excellent communicative and social skills
• Very good English, both spoken and written
• Knowledge of Swedish
• A driving license (B-körkort)
Additional merits:
- A master's degree, since the majority of our international students pursue this level of degree
• Experience from work at an higher education institution
• Knowledge of languages other than English and Swedish

For this position, Dalarna University will conduct a qualitative overall evaluation of candidates to ensure that the candidate who is best able to meet the requirements of the position is selected.
