International Recruitment and Fundraising Director

The Education and Research Office at Dalarna University is responsible for strategic planning and development issues, including internationalization.
This position is a two-year full-time position with the possibility of a permanent post. The date of commencement will be upon agreement. The position will be based in Falun but the successful applicant must expect to travel widely.
Responsibilities
The introduction of fees for non-European students in Sweden has opened up new opportunities for student recruitment. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and carry through a project with the aim of significantly increasing the numbers of non-European students at Dalarna University. The project will be based on a strategic marketing plan developed within three months of work commencing. You will be expected to develop networks among relevant groups of academics and support staff throughout the University and will organize a project group. You will develop a basis and structure for our long-term work with international marketing, as well as initiating concrete recruitment efforts. Project follow-up and budgeting are two further work responsibilities.
The successful applicant will also be expected to work both strategically and operatively with international fundraising in order to promote the University?s growing commitment in developing countries
Qualifications
• University degree, preferably at postgraduate level
• Successful experience of developing, leading and coordinating projects both nationally and internationally
• Successful experience of working with fundraising, marketing and recruitment in an international environment
• Excellent communicative and social skills
• Very good English; good Swedish desirable as well as a knowledge of other languages.
