At Essity we are seeking a highly experienced, skilled and influential Project Manager / Program Manager who can lead & deliver complex, high value innovation and capital equipment projects across an international environment, as well as supporting the improvement of Project Managers and Project Management process across our organization
What You Will Do
As a project manager you will plan, execute and successfully deliver projects according to Essity's established Project Management methodologies (traditional waterfall through to Agile as required). You will have the leadership of projects from pre-initiation business case through to handover and follow up after project closure. Furthemore you will:
Leadership of projects through the full life-cycle from pre-initiation & business case to project closure
Manage projects with significant innovation, manufacturing, marketing, change, technology, supply chain impact, logistics, new product introduction and global product launches.
Management of CAPEX. Typically 10-30m euros per project.
Management of business case, project budget(s) and undertaking all associated financial governance, accounting and invoicing oversight.
Project management of diverse, multi-functional global project teams, suppliers and 3rd parties.
Inspire, lead and motivate cross functional teams.
Establish efficient and robust project governance and steering function within projects.
Ensure effective communication to stakeholders up, down and across the global matrix.
Report in written and verbal formats upon projects to a wide range of forums, varying from 1:1 through to communications with large global remote teams and deploying standardised KPIs.
Develop, improve and support the introduction of world class processes and tools in the area of Project Management
Who You Are
You have a proven strategic mindset, extensive Project Management background and ability to drive tactical project execution across a complex global matrix organization.
Your passion, business acumen and high level of management ability will mean you are comfortable and have a track record of delivering capital equipment projects, associated product innovation in an innovative Manufacturing/Supply Chain environment. You will be able to resolve sometimes ambiguous requirements from diverse global stakeholders (Sales, R&D, Technology, Marketing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance...etc) and lead global remote teams to the development of a clear scope, a well-supported plan and achieve a successful project completion.
You have high level of attention to details in projects and ensure same from Project team whilst also maintaining ability / agility to understand the big picture, changing contexts and influencing strategic change if needed.
High energy and inspirational leadership with capability of creating multiple personal relationships and building trust with others.
Strong influencing skills at all levels in the organization
Understand business and cultural differences and adjust leadership behaviour accordingly.
Ability to lead large indirect cross functional and global
Proven skills to prioritize multiple tasks and keep team focused on priorities.
Can create clarity & support when initially faced with an ambiguous situation / context.
Strong ability to engage, manage and negotiate with external partners and internal stakeholders
Excellent communication skills.
Key Experiences / Qualifications
University Degree in Project Management, Science, Marketing or related fields.
5-10 years of experience in International Project Management.
Ideally PMP certified or able to demonstrate similar level of achievement.
5-10 years' experience in Operations/Manufacturing/Marketing/Product Development/Engineering/Technology.
Fully fluent in English language
Significant and demonstrated experience leading multifunctional Project teams
Commercial and financial knowledge to prepare & manage CAPEX, forecast & project budgets,
Well-rounded understanding of entire End to End Supply Chain
Experience of working in international/global assignments ideally in multiple regions.
Additional Information
This role typically requires 30-40% travel however exact frequency and duration of travel will be dependent upon particular project and stage within the Project Lifecyle.
Ideally the person will be based in Göteborg, or anywhere in Europe if commutable to large Essity plant/office.
