Embedded Control System Development Engineer
Position
Platform Development is a function within Global Product Development (GPD) at Volvo Buses. We are responsible for developing platform solutions within the areas of Chassis Body in white, Body, Powertrain and Electrical.
The Electrical & Electronics Department has the mission to develop the electrical system through concept phases up to serial production and maintenance while optimizing demands on quality, deliveries, cost and features.
You will be part of a team where we work closely together developing work methods and sharing our knowledge and experience. We have a culture where we learn from each other and strive for excellence together.
Tasks would include:
• Development of embedded control system in-house or in cooperation with suppliers in the area of electro mobility, connectivity, ADAS (autonomy) or vehicle control.
• Actively taking part in the work on developing working methods for model based development as well as agile software development.
• Modelling of algorithms and functionality for vehicle control functions.
• Developing communication for the control systems and the vehicle connectivity.
Travel
Limited travelling is required, 2-3/year

Overall requirements:
• Master of Science or Business Administration
• Valid work-permit for applied country if not citizen
• Excellent spoken and written English (Additional languages are given merit)
• Maximum of two years previous work-experience prior to or after graduation
• International experience is meriting
Additional requirements
Interest in vehicle development electronics/functionality, connected vehicles
Interest in and experience from knowledge sharing (tydligt?)

1st choice: M.Sc. Embedded Electronic System Design
2nd choice: M.Sc. Systems, Control and Mechatronics
3rd choice: M.Sc. Communication Engineering
