The Communications Director is responsible for developing and implementing internal communication plans and activities on a global level to help employees understand our vision, objectives and strategies. The role supports that all employees feel well-informed, engaged and proud to work for Essity. The role is also responsible for developing plans and activities that support leaders in their communication tasks.
The Internal Communications Director reports to the VP Internal and Operations Communications and the location for this position is at the headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden.
Main Tasks
Contributes to the development and drives the implementation of the Group's internal communication strategy and plan
Creates and establishes Internal Communications guidelines and routines
Acts as a business partner to functions at the Group level such as HR and Strategy
Creates and delivers materials that support leaders with their communication needs
Manages Internal Communications contribution to leadership conferences and other relevant meetings.
Trains leaders and colleagues in "Strategic Communication for Leaders" and using current and relevant materials
Develops and delivers change communication plans and materials
Ensures optimal communication channel mix to maximize outreach to internal audiences and measures efficiency and effectiveness
Manages internal communication projects
Produces written and digital communication as needed and tailored to audience needs, including presentation materials
Oversees other IC-related functions within the global function such as Global Business Services or IT Communication through functional reporting
Works closely with the other members of the Communications team, located in different countries
Key Competencies
University degree in Communication, Marketing, Journalism or related field
7-10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in an international matrix organization within communication
Masters creation and delivery of oral, written and digital communications
Swedish native speaker with excellent written and oral language skills
Excellent English with excellent written and oral language skills
To be successful in this role you have to be able to connect communications strategies/plans to Business Strategy and to analyze business needs from a communications point of view. You understand the needs of internal target groups and are able to navigate efficiently within the organization. You have the capability to evaluate and adopt relevant new communications trends and will provide communications expertise to leaders and colleagues.
