Internal Auditor at Scania

Scania is expanding its Group Internal Audit department due to the growth of the company and an increased ambition level for internal auditing. We are looking for a skilled, analytical and communicative Internal Auditor who can make an important contribution to the team. In this position you will be part of a team responsible for the quality, development and execution of the internal audit process throughout the Scania Global organisation.

The work includes frequent international travelling. Meeting diverse cultures and colleagues from different functions requires you to be a highly professional, social and diplomatic person. The position is located at Scania's global headquarters in Södertälje but the field work is carried out worldwide.

Key responsibilities
The Internal Auditor will mainly be responsible for:
• Carrying out risk assessments and develop audit scope
• Carry out audit assignments
• Prepare audit reports and present for management
• Actively follow-up on the status of open internal audit issues
• Participate in the preparation of the annual audit plan and with reporting to the Audit Committee
• Play an active role in developing audit processes and methodologies according to international standards
• Advice projects with internal control related questions regarding systems, processes, organizational changes, etc when needed

Skills, knowledge and expertise
The successful candidate will need a University degree in Business administration, or an equivalent, as well as a minimum of 4-5 years of audit experience or experience from the areas of financial reporting, controlling and/or accounting. Furthermore a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation is an advantage.

Applicants will need a good knowledge of MS Office applications, e.g. Excel, Power point, Word, etc as well as fluency in a Scandinavian language and of course English. If you have any additional language skills this is a great advantage.

Personal characteristics
To be suitable for this position you will need excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing, as well as an ability to effectively communicate and achieve actions on deviations in procedures to local management.

You have well-developed interpersonal skills and are a team player with the ability to build cross-functional networks as well as capacity to work independently.

Applicants must have analytical skills, high integrity and an ability to see the big picture as well as the details. The willingness and ability to appreciate frequent international travelling is essential.
