As a Product Designer, you are responsible for applying the appropriate visual and functional skills to articulate brand and value propositions into product design concepts. Creatively support and contribute to design of current and future appliances, from initial
concept through production. You will be reporting to the Design Manager - Global Floor Care.
Analytical & conceptual skills:
Ability to contribute to the analyze of consumer insights, trend foresight and competitive landscape to form a relevant understanding of the contextual opportunity for the Branded product offer.
Support the creative process delivering surprising and relevant scenarios / concepts that explore potential or articulate a proposition, based on contextual understanding.
Visual Design Skills:
Strong visual Design skills with the ability to use appropriate tools (sketching, 3D modeling, rendering) to define and communicate product concepts.
Support the creation of effective and appropriate visual languages by understanding the meaning and effect of these on the brand, audience, market and culture.
Functional Design Skills:
Support the creation of functional product concepts that appropriately address the user and it's contextual requirements. Define and apply general usability principles (in partnership with other competencies e.g. Interaction Design, Product Graphics, etc.).
Able to understand the technical opportunities and constraints and apply appropriate production technology, materials and finishes (in partnership with other competencies e.g. Color, Materials & Finishes, Product Graphics, Surfacing Design, Studio Engineer, etc.).
Communicating & influencing skills:
Communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at an individual (and group level).
Build relationships and appropriately influence relevant internal (& external stakeholders).
Personal Attitudes:
Collaborative nature with ability to work in multi-functional international teams.
Pro-active work attitude and ability to organize personal work to meet deadlines.
About you:
Degree or higher-level qualification in appropriate field such as Industrial Design or Fine Arts.
Up to 3 years of Professional Product Design experience.
A proven track record of excellent design performance in previous positions.
Fluency in English. Other European languages are a benefit.
Alias or rhino 3 years experience, Adobe, Microsoft, Keyshot.

This is a great opportunity to work with a fast-paced company. You will work at the global headquarters in Stockholm in Stadshagen. This is a consultant assignment staring January 11th 2021 and continues till June 30th 2022.
Electrolux is collaboration with Next u for this assignment. That means that you would be hired with an hourly rate by Next u, but work for Electrolux.
