The Volvo Group International Graduate Programme gives you a unique opportunity to gain a holistic view of the Volvo Group and to kick-start your career through international assignments, work in different parts of the organization, networking, and professional and personal development. Upon completion of the programme, you will continue to work in the position you were recruited.
The programme runs for 12 months and includes a combination of common and individual graduate activities and day-to-day work at the home company. It consists of three weeks of common development activities at different locations globally, where the participants meet and network. Common activities in the latest programme took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, Ageo, Japan and Greensboro, USA.
The programme also includes learning activities in your home organisation and an international assignment.
During the programme you will participate in training sessions covering fundamental Group concepts, such as diversity, personal development, project management, cross cultural communication etc.
Position

As a management trainee at the Production Plant in Köping, you will take the first steps of your career within the Volvo Group. Production knowledge is a foundation for future positions within the group and our program will cover knowledge of Volvo Production System/Lean practices and way of working. You will be involved in an ongoing lean journey in close collaboration with leaders and coworkers at various levels of the organization. You will be a part of one of our production units, getting a broad insight of production manufacturing, team organisation and cross functional management teams. You will also lead industrial projects and focus improvement work. The purpose is to build a solid foundation of lean production knowledge as an enabler for further development within the company. It will be a diverse pallet of knowledge to cover during the year all in collaboration with production units and support functions as Logistics, Quality, Engineering, Environment, Finance, Safety & HR.
Tasks would include:
Lead projects or be a part of project teams
Change Management activities
Run Investigations and/or studies
Overall requirements:
Master of Science or Business Administration
Valid work-permit for applied country if not citizen
Excellent spoken and written English (Additional languages are given merit)
Maximum of two years previous work-experience after graduation
International experience is meriting
Education
1st choice: Msc. Mechanical Engineering combined with courses in industrial economy
2nd choice: Msc. Production Management combined with courses in industrial economy
3rd choice: Msc. Industrial Engineering & Management and/or MBA
