Position
Volvo Group Trucks Operations-Controlling is seeking a Global Investment Controller Trainee starting in September of 2016.
You will be part of a small team located in Gothenburg, working in a large global investment controlling network in Group Trucks. During the trainee year, you will learn and contribute to the entire global investment process from planning to investment decision. In the investment portfolio management process, you will learn about various financial decision and prioritization tools, including IT applications and systems supporting the investment planning, decision and reporting flows. Related to the investment planning and decision process, you will take on a personal assignment supporting controlling driving Group Trucks financial sustainability. The assignment will cover both holistic and analytical understanding of the complexity in the business value chain. The position will be located in Gothenburg. The graduate should be prepared for some travel during the year and an international assignment for three months.

Tasks would include:
Complete e learning modules training to understand the process and business
Analyze investment business cases in the various phases of decision flow using prioritization and balancing models
Gather data and complete analysis and reporting in the quarterly investment portfolio and cycle plan
Be part of deep dive studies to support Group Trucks sustainability of profitability
Collaborate with functions, gather data, analyze and be part of the follow up of critical business cases to understand profitability outcome versus plan
Be part of the monthly and quarterly reporting procedures of the global investment payment plan
Support functions enhancing tracking and reporting of investments in key projects
Support the team in the continuous improvement work in certain areas highlighted in annual plan
Be part of the key objectives setting and annual planning for 2017
Be active in communication with functions and regions regarding process improvement tasks
Overall requirements:
Master of Science or Business Administration
Valid work-permit for applied country if not citizen
Excellent spoken and written English (French, Portuguese is a merit)
Maximum of two years previous work-experience after graduation
International experience is meriting

Working with various business IT applications and databases.
The candidate should possess social and networking skills working and collaborating in a global corporate culture. The person should have high ability to plan, prioritize, drive and complete assignments according to set time plans. In the assignments, the candidate should be able to work with problem solving both from a holistic strategic financial level to detailed financial analysis. Other characteristics to fit in the team environment is a positive mind set, diligence, curiosity in learning and developing processes.

Education
1st choice: Master of Science in Business with specialization in and/or combination of strategy, finance and industrial economics
