The Volvo Group International Graduate Programme gives you a unique opportunity to gain a holistic view of the Volvo Group and to kick-start your career through international assignments, work in different parts of the organization, networking, and professional and personal development. Upon completion of the programme, you will continue to work in the position you were recruited.
The programme runs for 12 months and includes a combination of common and individual graduate activities and day-to-day work at the home company. It consists of three weeks of common development activities at different locations globally, where the participants meet and network. Common activities in the latest programme took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, Ageo, Japan and Greensboro, USA.
Position
Volvo Group Trucks Operations encompasses the production of state-of-the-art products for the truck brands of the Volvo Group, as well as Volvo Group engines and transmissions, through an international world class industrial environment. Tuve plant is a complete assembly plant for heavy-duty Volvo trucks consisting of frame production, cab and vehicle assembly, CKD-operations and customer adaptations.
As a Production Developer you will report directly to the Production Director in Tuve Plant and support his management team in their daily work. You will have a key role in implementing strategies and processes together with the management and different support functions.
To understand the challenges and help us develop the processes you will need to have a holistic view and ability to work in different areas to learn what details influences the whole.
Your responsibilities will include suggesting, developing, planning and implementing improvements in different areas of the operation.
Tasks would include:
Project management & coordination
Work closely with the production management team, supporting the production director in his daily work and work cross-functionally with the support functions
Analytical investigations, evaluations of efficiency
Suggesting, developing, planning & implementing improvements in the operation
Implementation of the business plan
Change management
Work with lean, improvements according to Volvo Production System
Overall requirements:
Master of Science or Business Administration
Valid work-permit for applied country if not citizen
Excellent spoken and written English, Swedish preferable and French is merited
Maximum of two years previous work-experience after graduation
International experience is meriting
Additional
Good Computer skills.
Knowledge and interest in manufacturing and management required.
Experience from a large, manufacturing organization a merit.
Education
1st choice: M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management or equivalent
2nd choice: MBA with a specialization in manufacturing, management or equivalent
