Our Intelligent Machines provide solutions that generate operator guidance, automation and management information that increases machine uptime and productivity. The Intelligent Machines Product Specialist focuses on driving the product development of Volvo Co-Pilot and Assist Services. They are responsible to steer the development of Co-Pilot and Assist services, develop the product portfolio roadmap, to define and follow up on the solutions delivered in cooperation with other parts of Volvo CE.
Main activities and responsibilities:
You will be responsible for providing expertise into projects and systems, defining product requirements, ensuring that the product plans are duly executed and that the product results in sustainable commercial success for VCE.*Gather and analyse key information through market analysis, data analysis, voice of customer, dealer and regions interaction and benchmarks
• Align products with defined business processes
• Manage product lifecycle, enhancements and maintenance
• Actively drive cost to ensure profitability of the product
• Secure that product change(s) are listed and evaluated
• Collaborate with Global Competence Development team for product training activities towards the regions and dealers/customers when relevant
• Ensure together with the Technology, Connected Solutions and IT units and other internal and external suppliers that the product is developed according to the set objectives
• Maintaining product roadmap when relevant
• Defining product requirements (specifications, life cycle...)
• Represent product ownership in development projects, secure that all necessary product requirements are included
• Track and identify product defects and issues with support staff, take action(s) to solve issues
• Keep an efficient communication with the relevant entities across VCE organization

Required knowledge & experience
• Development or project management experience with innovative hi-tech products in the heavy equipment industry, IT, telematics or aftermarket area
• Ability to transmit enthusiasm related to Co-Pilot and Assists within the organization
• Desirable is experience in any of the following areas; Machine Control Systems, Load or Haul Systems, Site Management

The ability to establish and develop relations with other units within VCE as well as its partners is important. You consider yourself being analytical, self-confident, customer oriented, persistent but still a team player. This is an innovative new team so therefor it is important that you are also open minded and can come up with unconventional solutions.
You have a positive attitude, take initiative and have the courage to take decisions. You enjoy working towards deadlines and have a natural way of inspire, develop and motivate individuals and teams across the organization.
Additional important requirements
• Marketing or engineering background. University level
• Fluent in English. Other language capabilities are desirable
• Willingness to travel
• This position will be based in Brussels, Belgium or Eskilstuna, Sweden and you must be willing to relocate to one of these two locations
