We are now looking for an Intellectual Property Manager, preferably based in Sandviken, Sweden or Tammerfors, Finland, but location is negotiable.
Key performance areas
The SMC Intellectual Property Manager is responsible for ensuring that SMC develops and implements an intellectual property strategy with the goal of having a profitable and competitive IP portfolio. The strategy must consider Sandvik group synergies and be developed in cooperation with Sandvik Intellectual Properties.
The position is global and includes approximately 80 days of travel per year.
Your profile
The ideal candidate is a patent attorney with 10-15 years of experience, and extensive knowledge of the field is required. Previous experience of working in a matrix organization is an advantage, as well as completed EQE.
As a person you are analytical, thorough and interested in technology, and you have good interpersonal skills for working with people at different levels of the organization. You are an experienced leader who will be the moving force in the development of the area, which requires that you are self-motivated with strong personal drive. You have a number of people in your team and will be involved in further development of the team. Very good skills in English, both written and spoken, are a prerequisite for service and therefore a requirement.
