Purpose of position:
Provide internal customer the assurance that the mechanical integrity of Static Equipment in the entire refinery (including offplot) is maintained in a cost effective manner that supports the refinery operations. Ensure that the inspection program is compliant with and addresses all relevant aspects of Swedish legislative requirements. Overall responsible for good and close cooperation and teamwork with the maintenance organisation and operations for all integrity related issues, scheduled, unscheduled and planning activities to deliver the site target of zero integrity inspection overdues.
Overall responsible for:
• The technical operations of the Inspection department, including HSE aspects.
• Preparation and implement a pro-active effective inspection program, which are consistent with statutory requirements, RBI, Shell and industry standards. This approach will require Inspection team members to keep up-to-date with new engineering development and inspection tools
• Maintain an accurate & effective equipment inspection history and inspection record system using our IDMS database.
• Set up and verify with operations and technology that equipment is being operated within the design integrity window and highlight to Management cases and potential impact of deviation.
• Advise on the design of new equipment, and on repairs and modifications of existing equipment and piping and ensure that these are executed to statutory and Shells Design Engineering Practice and industry standards and BP&G.
• Actively participate in Shell networks in Europe, TIO-gruppen (Swedish pressure vessel forum).
• Develop and maintain skill of Inspection personnel to provide efficient and professional inspection services.
Dimensions:
Direct reports: 4 JG5 inspectors
• Member of Extended Leadership Team and as such responsible for driving HSE on site
• Stand in for Engineering Manager during his absence
• Consulting role in Engineering and Integrity issues, some of which need swift response as they happen i real time.
• Building a network with local authorities and peers from process industry
• Developing good knowledge of swedish legislative requiremenst
Experinece and qualifications:
• Qualified Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineer or equivalent (Bsc, MSc, Ir, CivIng, Dipl Ing etc).
• Experience from similar position is a merit but not a must.
• We expect you to speak Swedish are be able to master that swiftly.
• Experience with inspection systems required. At least 7 years relevant industry experience.
• knowledge of NDT technigues and knowledge of RBI
• Strong safety consciousness
• displays personal effectiveness, evidence of being capable of delivering results
